He does an incredible job at turning these songs into something that you’re excited to throw on your party playlist so that you can impress your friends at their next banger. I originally found SubtomiK because of his remix to Drake’s “The Language” and he doesn’t disappoint this time either. PRE-ORDER PEOPLE KEEP TALKING ON ITUNES NOW!Ī few weeks ago, Club/Dance artist SubtomiK released a remix to Drake’s most recent single “0-100” and I’m really glad that he did. Check out the single “Numbers” below as well to get a taste of this album, you won’t regret it, I promise. Also, make sure you follow Hoodie on all social media platforms, which you can also find links to below. You absolutely need to get a copy of this album, so make sure you pre-order it on iTunes by following the link below. It looks like I’m going to have to see Hoodie in concert again… for the fourth time. He found the balance between singing and rapping that makes him stand out as an artist. In conclusion, People Keep Talking is the Hoodie Allen album I’ve been waiting for for years. Alex Wiley, “Act My Age”, “Numbers”, “Get It On The Low”, and “Show Me What You’re Made Of”. The songs that you absolutely cannot afford to miss on the album would have to be “All About It” feat. All in all, the album is light on features, but I’m glad because it allows Hoodie’s pure talent to stand out. As far as features go, the one that stands out most is Ed Sheeran on “All About It”, which is definitely one of my favorite songs on the album. The production end is also some of the best we’ve seen so far, with the wildly-popular single “Numbers” being produced by Jared Evan, who also contributes some vocals.
Most songs feature some of Hoodie’s finest verses to date, interrupted (pun intended) only by a well sung chorus that’s incredibly catchy. While I was worried the album was going to be lighter on the rap end and more like his singing style found mostly on Crew Cuts, I was pleasantly surprised to find an incredibly well done mixture of the two. Now that People Keep Talking is only 5 days away and it’s available on iTunes Radio, I’m more excited than ever to walk into Target or Best Buy and buy a physical copy. He also released Crew Cuts, his latest mixtape, and an acoustic EP that was a different take on his popular songs. Since then, he’s had a hugely successful EP on iTunes called All American that produced his first hit “No Interruption”. Being a fan since Pep Rally, I remember the days when he would spit bars on beats with unique samples that made him stand out, even if he did rap about the actresses in pop culture, #WhiteGirlProblems, and other themes that are rarely found in Hip Hop. Now that I’ve had the chance to listen to Hoodie Allen’s debut album People Keep Talking in full, I’m proud to say that it’s his best piece of work to date.
